In this fictional expose of corruption in the US government and of media manipulation of the public, Nouri is a former media adviser to the president. Depressed over the suicide of his wife, Nouri falls down on his job and is exposed in a hard-hitting report delivered by Twomey, his

one-time lover, an unscrupulous news announcer aiming at a news-anchor spot. Nouri and his partner, Orbach, are planning a feature film that will, like THE IMAGEMAKER, expose corruption in the US government and the role that the media plays in manipulating the public. But the Washington power

structure wants to keep him quiet. Although filmmakers Marilyn and Hal Weiner may have had good intentions in making THE IMAGEMAKER, these are undone by the unbelievable scenario they've created. This film is filled with one preposterous idea after another. THE IMAGEMAKER also has the distinction

of having the cheapest, most offensive ending in recent memory. The filmmakers have extensive experience in documentary production and in the Washington political scene, but that just isn't enough.
