This lightweight farce, the pale follow-up to Rosalind Russell's Broadway hit "Wonderful Town," casts the comedienne as Kim Halliday, a Providence, Rhode Island, museum employee, who travels to Las Vegas with her Aunt Clara (Marion Lorne) to learn more about the hotel she's become half

owner of as the result of her father's death. Regrettably, her father's partner, Ether Ferguson (James Gleason), loses the run-down hotel at the gambling tables even before Kim and Clara arrive. To make matters worse, Kim labors under the mistaken impression that it is the fabulous Flamingo Hotel,

run by Victor Monte (Fernando Lamas), that is part hers. Charmed by Kim, Victor perpetuates her delusion, and after the usual complications they end up gazing into each others eyes at the finale. Other than "An Occasional Man," the score, like the story, is nothing to write home about, though the

movie (produced by Russell's husband, Fred Brisson) certainly has the look of a Las Vegas travelog and is rampant with plugs for the various hotels. Fans of WEST SIDE STORY will want to keep an eye out for one of its stars, George Chakiris, who appears here in a specialty dance number. Other tunes

include: "Take a Chance," "We're Alone," "The Girl Rush," "Champagne," "Birmingham," "Out of Doors," "Choose Your Partner," "My Hillbilly Heart" (Hugh Martin, Ralph Blane).
