Carson is a member of a holdup gang. He breaks away from the rest after they refuse to treat the wounds sustained by fellow robber Patterson during a stagecoach job. He and Patterson strike out on their own, attempting to take away a stagecoach their former comrades are robbing. While

Patterson pins down the robbers from the rocks above, Carson chases and stops the runaway stage. All this is observed by Harmon, the sheriff's daughter, who thinks the men are do-gooders and escorts them into town, hailing them as heroes. The men are given jobs by the stage line, but, while

Patterson wants to go straight, Carson is just biding his time for the one big job that he can retire on. When his old gang comes to rob the office he's guarding, his past comes to light, but he redeems himself by leading the posse to the bandits' roost and capturing the leader. He and Patterson

are pardoned, and Carson marries Harmon. Slightly above average program oater, with the mild curiosity of the hero being of dubious integrity throughout.
