Military mayhem erupts when an undercover officer challenges a political appointee who was once a CIA renegade in Uncle Sam's Army. Bigoted National Security Advisor Max Camden (Fred Ward) has a problem: Revelations about his handling of a 1972 Vietnamese operation could mar his reputation, since he was running a top secret army experiment in biochemical warfare in which both local peasants and American soldiers at Camp Blue were infected. Camden torched the entire base to cover his tracks, but now troubleshooter Jack Poynt (Antonio Sabato, Jr.) has been ordered by the Pentagon to spearhead a mine-sweep in Cambodia, which accidentally turns up evidence of Camden's misdeeds. Worse, the soldier's diary that Poynt uncovers reveals the fate of Poynt's own mother, an army nurse who opposed Camden's genocidal activities — Camden had her executed. Meanwhile, Camden is advising the US Secretary of Defense to take a hard-line against the Chinese government; Poynt's revelations could derail Camden's agenda, which is rooted in anti-Asian prejudice. When Camden learns that Poynt has acquired a journal that details Camden's war crimes, he goes ballistic. Poynt, in turn, acquires an ally in Communist agent Kim (Susie Park), whose mission is to undermine and then assassinate Camden. Will Camden eliminate Kim and Poynt before they can expose him to the Chinese Ambassadors and the Secretary of Defense? Despite the screenplay's moral elements, martial arts sequences featuring the high-kicking Park are this standard-issue, military-cover up potboiler's true raison d'etre.
