Travers, a resident on a remote island, is ordered to go to the mainland to seek a wife so that no more first cousins marry in the cloistered community. In a series of comic adventures with pretty young ladies, Travers' life becomes more and more complicated, then turns serious when he

is mistaken for a salmon poacher and must flee from police (in a sort of shallow parody of Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS). Lighthearted fun paced with deft direction makes for an enjoyable production. Songs are provided by the Campbelltown Gaelic Choir.
