Seven men of different nationalities and backgrounds find themselves trapped in an underground German blockhouse during WW II after bombs seal it. Although the place is well stocked with food and wine, five of the men die during the six years that they remain confined. Based on a

frighteningly true story, the film tries to study men in a terrible, claustrophobic setting, but it never reveals the true nature of the characters or a possible metaphysical reason for their predicament. A worthy idea that sadly goes nowhere.
