Once again Temple plays an orphan, this time having lost her parents in an Indian attack. She's adopted by rugged Mountie Scott and his sweetheart, Lockwood. The Blackfoot tribe continues to attack and Scott is nearly burned to death by the savages. Shirley solves all the problems in her

own unique fashion, and teaches Scott how to tap dance as well. Though a lesser vehicle for Temple, this is probably her last good feature. The child star is engaging despite the slightness of the film, and the kids will still eat it up like candy. Temple was rapidly becoming a big girl by 1939

and the era of her cute little musicals was coming to a halt.
