"You gotta kick Lahn-boy out and get yourself a bitch," begins this bizarrely bad film that explores drug and drag abuse run amok. Dubiously straight Trevor (Peter Pryor), a bottom-feeding slacker with a work-related sadomasochistic streak, takes in shiftless Lahn (writer-director-editor Kevin B. DiNovis), who’s on the run after stealing their heroin-dealer friend's stash. This neo-Odd Couple’s monotonous passive-aggressive relationship becomes increasingly turgid as Lahn becomes Trevor’s live-in maid and girlfriend in exchange for heroin to sustain his habit. Trading favors tit-for-tat goes over fine with Trevor for a while, but he soon discovers he needs a bigger fix. Not enough plot twists? Mix in the Dewey decimal system, the wonders of female hormone replacement therapy and over-the-counter prostitution. The interesting (and potentially amusing) premise is sabotaged by over-exposed film and wall-to-wall echo sound, but mostly by a writer-director-editor-star who's several cup sizes short in the talent department. You could watch the film as a bit of camp, but its inability to deliver on any of its promising ideas is an unforgivable drag.
