Bentley stars as a Navy tactical instructor with little command experience who is made commander of the submarine Seahawk. His crew as well as executive officer Maxwell, who had expected to be promoted to the position Bentley now holds, resent Bentley's inexperience and his consistent

orders to stand by rather than to sink Japanese aircraft carriers in the sub's vicinity. During the course of the film they discover that Bentley was on orders to wait for other US forces to arrive and that the Seahawk is to join a large maneuver to clear the Japanese out of the area. The film is

a typical war feature, heavy on the action and stock character types and complete with library footage of WW II battles. Originally released on a double bill with AIP's PARATROOP COMMAND.
