changes his mind and takes the train back to town. On the way, however, he starts exchanging glances with Mackaill, who is on her way to the wedding. They don't know one another but decide they are meant for each other. All is well at the end. Blackmer and Mackaill go off together as do Johnson

and Richmond, her long-time admirer.
