When hitman Moore isn't shooting at somebody, his driver, Keach, is running over some innocent pedestrian during the many car chase scenes. The weak plot has Moore and Keach in charge of finding out which rival don is using the ploy of hiding pure heroin in crosses imported from Italy as gifts to

his church in San Francisco.
