LeRoy turns out an interesting western set in Santa Fe in 1879. Garson plays a doctor who arrives in town only to find that she is looked down upon by those who don't believe the lady can handle the job. She is courted by Andrews, a fellow doctor who is less experienced than she, and is
harassed by Wilke, whose girl friend is under treatment. She eventually proves her worth to the community, with the support of a group of unprejudiced Mexicans and Indians.
