Fast and furious Harold Lloyd comedy. Harold "Speedy" Swift (Lloyd) comes to the aid of girlfriend Jane (Ann Christy) when railroaders try to ruin her grandfather's business. Grandpa (Bert Woodruff) owns a horse-drawn bus that serves a collection of older tradesmen by day, and he and his

cronies use it as a club house at night. All he has to do to keep his route is make the run once a day. The problem: Big bad railroad men want the route for themselves, and hire a gang of ruffians to steal the horsecar so that Grandpa will lose his rights to use it. Speedy may have trouble holding

a job, but one thing he can do is drive: He finds the horsecar, which the thugs have hidden down by the river, hitches up the horses and drives Grandpa's route in time to save the day. SPEEDY drew high praise for its imaginative, daredevil gags and its carefully choreographed comic mayhem.
