The skimpy story line has teenaged Beth (Angela O'Neill) going off to visit some friends at their college sorority house. Beth is disturbed by dreams of a mad killer who slaughters a family. Meanwhile, at a nearby insane asylum, trouble is brewing. Bobby (John C. Russell), one of the

longtime residents, is also being plagued with bad dreams. After some scientific mumbo jumbo (it's hard to pad these things out to 74 minutes, isn't it?), Bobby escapes and starts heading you-know-where. Back at the sorority house, it's learned that this abode was the scene of a horrible mass

murder years before. If director Frank had tried for even borderline originality, this might be tolerable. Instead, she simply goes through the motions, generating nothing more than a bad Xerox copy of John Carpenter's far superior work. There's no suspense, no excitement, just a lot of bloody

knives to slice through the tedium.
