because he will not renounce his actions despite his mother's desperate pleas. The daughter is sent into exile, and the family moves near her. The youngest boy, who admired his brother, follows in his footsteps and takes up law. He practices law where the family lives, but he wants to be in Moscow

where all the social action is and where he can have a greater impact. Finally, the mother relents, sends her other children to Moscow, and takes off with her son as he crusades across Russia and becomes one of its most famous leaders--Nikolai Lenin.
