A combination of footage--old, new, borrowed, and simply bad--this poorly constructed melodrama has Burke and Lewis in about 40 minutes of newly shot beach scenes. Lewis tells Burke about a plan to kill an adulterous neighbor, when Burke relates a story to him in an effort to keep the

peace. Previously released footage is a jumble about a priest-to-be, adultery, cabarets, and murder--none of which calms the murderous Lewis down. It's not until Burke seduces the disgruntled Lewis that he settles down and realizes that life is not so bad after all. Released in Spain in 1959, the

film was recut by Metzger, who cut about 42 minutes of footage and replaced it with 40 minutes of Burke and Lewis. The only thing that is even partially worthwhile is the middle 50 minutes with which Metzger was not involved.
