Just when he is about to achieve some financial success with a building and loan proposition, Mann must take his son Bushman away for a two-year convalescence in a drier climate. This proves to be good for the boy but bad for his father, as McWade, Mann's partner, writes Mann off as a

failure in business. However, Mann learns that he is far from a failure at home, for his children have given him more riches than any business possibly could. Despite the simplistic nature of the plot, SINS OF THE CHILDREN is a good drama, helped greatly by the strong cast and professional

direction from Wood. This was the second grouping of Mann, Montgomery, and Wood (first came SO THIS IS COLLEGE), and the team is successful here. The humanity of the story is brought out, but there is no pandering to its more maudlin elements. The natural performances by the children are an added

benefit.
