Hemmings is a post office messenger and leader of the rock group The Smart Alecs. His father won't have any of this teen-age nonsense and gives Hemmings a month to succeed or give it up. Hemmings loses an all-important audition tape while delivering a package to a film studio, but as the

contrived plot twist would have it, American producer Bauer finds the tape. He loves it and begins a search for the group. Finally, over a taxi intercom, Hemmings and his boys have their big audition, which they pass with resounding success. The group ends up in a musical rock film, and Hemmings

shows his father what rock is all about. Even THE WIZARD OF OZ had a more believable plot than this nonsense, although Hemmings, in a pre-BLOW UP outing, isn't bad. Watch for rock star Vincent in a cameo. Songs include "Rondo," "Hand Me Down My Walkin' Shoes," "Live It Up?" "Temptation Baby,"

"Please Let It Happen to Me," "Keep It Moving," "Law and Order," "Loving Me This Way," "Don't Take You from Me," "Don't You Understand?" "Sometimes I Wish" (Joe Meek, Norrie Paramor, Kenny Ball); "Accidents Will Happen" (Paramor, Bob Barratt, sung by Patsy Ann Noble).
