This re-working of Damon and Pythias features Martin and Hudson as the best of pals in the old west. Martin's a train robber, and his friend is the sheriff who must bring him in. To complicate matters, Hudson's married to Martin's former sweetheart, Clark, a bone of contention between

the two. Their past relationship is somewhat hazy due to a poor use of flashback, but this is an amiable enough comedy Western with a few good laughs. It's nothing terribly special or new though, and probably would have ended up as a TV movie had it been made a few years later. Seaton's direction

is okay, though not his best work. The photography, employing a process known as Todd-AO 35, is extremely clear, capturing the picturesque locations of New Mexico to an advantage.
