An amateurishly executed, cheap-jack thriller with extensive nude scenes, this neo-noir film's attempts to establish an aura of seedy eroticism and seething potential violence is undermined by actors of mind-boggling ineptitude. Having served a year in jail for a crime he didn't commit, Charlie (Eric Acsell) returns home to his girlfriend, Randi (Kira Reed). Charlie is offered a job by District Attorney Carl Olsen (Daniel Anderson), but hesitates because Olsen is Randi's ex-boyfriend. But he eventually accepts and presents himself at the De Layley mansion, believing that he's been hired as a carpenter. The voluptuous Emma De Layley (Kim Dawson) instead draws him into a plot she's concocted with her underage stepdaughter, Melissa (Zette), to stage the teenager's fake kidnapping. When Emma isn't using her favors to scramble Charlie's better judgment, she's dallying with De Layley family advisor Malcolm Daniels (Stephen Francis), who helped hatch the kidnapping scheme. During those infrequent moments when Charlie is not engaged in sexual relations with Emma or Melissa, he worries that the lusty women may be setting him up. In fact, they may not even be who they claim they are. After Melissa is "kidnapped," Olsen tells Charlie that the police want him to make the ransom drop. Then Melissa is murdered. Charlie tries to convince Olsen that he's just a stooge, but Emma has done such a thorough a job of implicating Charlie that he may be unable to escape. The film's attractive performers are more than up to the demands of their many soft core scenes, but when they're called upon to act their utter inability to deliver lines inadvertently transforms this smutty suspense film into a coarse lampoon.
