An all-star, all-stupid comedy attempt that proves, once again, no actor can triumph over bad material. Price is a multimillionaire games manufacturer who has nobody to leave his estate to (worth about $200 million), so he devises a scavenger hunt and assigns his various pals and heirs to

find a bunch of silly items, with the winner being the recipient of the fortune. Price dies and the hunt begins. It's a series of absurdities contrived to put the performers into unbelievable situations. Whereas IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD had some wit and some telling comments about greed,

this one has not an iota of intelligence but insults every minority you can think of. Directed at a breakneck pace, the film has a huge cast whom we never get to know. Benjamin is an unscrupulous attorney. Leachman is a noisy shrew whose son, Masur, is a disgusting spoiled brat. The servants,

McDowall, Coco, Little, and Faracy, should all have been slain at birth. Even Avery Schreiber, who can do almost anything and make it look funny, is wasted here. Given the right script, Schultz can do good work, as in CAR WASH, although you'd never know it from this dull, dense, and depressing

picture. How all of these funny actors could have been seduced into working on such a waste of time, money, and effort is a mystery.
