while his wife, Rhonda (Exene Cervenka), is blissfully transfixed by the TV preaching of Rev. Edward Randall (Stephen McHattie). Lenore sets about seducing the reverend. He is both repulsed and overcome with lust. But Randall has been set up for blackmail by Stample. Made on a budget of $800,000,

SALVATION! has the stylized look of a rock video. The characters are not as well developed as they might have been; as a result, the tongue-in-cheek insights B. provides into the phenomenon of television evangelism are limited. SALVATION!, however, is frequently a very funny movie. The

performances are generally good, with McHattie deserving special kudos.
