Two Israeli spies are caught bugging an Arab phone exchange. One is killed and the other, Dayan, is tortured to reveal his accomplices. When these measures fail, he is turned over to Tamiroff, a kindly, aging police inspector who tries kindness, even taking the youthful spy into his

home. Finally, the boy softens and agrees to give Tamiroff the names if he lets him escape. Tamiroff agrees and at the border Dayan makes a run for it. He is shot dead by Tamiroff's superiors, who have had their distrusting eyes on the policeman and his prisoner all the time. Tamiroff cries when

he learns that the names Dayan gave him are false. A simple and well-meaning film. (In English.)
