A ridiculous heap of bad writing, aimless direction, and empty performances that concerns a 17-year-old boy, Danny Hicks (Eric Stoltz), who has been convicted of murdering his father. He is supposed to receive the death penalty, but he manages to escape and hide out with Charlene (Monica

Carrico), a prostitute nearly twice his age who wrote him love letters while he sat in prison. They take off across the country in a car stolen from her pimp, avoiding capture by police officer Trent (Stuart Margolin). The script has holes big enough to drive a fleet of trucks through, and the

performances are desperately in need of direction. Stoltz survived this drivel to go to star in MASK the following year.
