out of her accent before finally dumping it altogether. This film was made by a minor independent studio, the likes of which were beginning to specialize in westerns. Big studios rarely touched westerns at this point, leaving the field wide open for smaller production houses. Canutt went on to

become the ubiquitous villain in B westerns featuring John Wayne.
