A Boston painter, his social worker wife, an aspiring woman novelist, and the ex-headmaster of a private school come together on a small island off the coast of Maine, but their gathering doesn't make for very compelling drama. Put together an overly talky script and characters who bear no resemblance to real people, and you are left with a bad movie.
