Rating:

The final film in the "Quatermass" series, which was taken from a British television show of the 1950s, QUATERMASS CONCLUSION aired on British television before being released theatrically in the US. An alien force is projecting onto Earth a death beam with the power to sap the energy

from the world's children, and scientist John Mills must find a way to combat it. The special effects range from passable to poor, but the story is compelling and survives these flaws. Some sequences are stunning, such as that in which zombielike children converge on Stonehenge. This is not the

best "Quatermass" film (that honor goes to FIVE MILLION YEARS TO EARTH), but it works within its limitations.
