This combination of narrative and cinema verite footage presents the worldviews of a group of young people during the political upheaval of 1968. Robb is a college dropout selling underground newspapers in Montreal and living with his girl friend, Malus. American draft dodger Rader takes

up residence with the couple. Apolitical by nature, Rader is "into" drug-aided mind expansion. When Robb takes off for the Democratic Convention in Chicago, Malus goes with Rader to a commune, but the escapist life style there leaves her disillusioned. She meets Robb in Chicago, where he has

interviewed such prominent activists as Abbie Hoffman and Dick Gregory. Director Spry effectively shows the influences at work on young people during the tumultuous 60s. His complex characters are convincingly portrayed by non-professional actors.
