Another lifeless melodrama about the dangers of drug abuse, produced so humorlessly that it has absolutely nothing worthwhile to offer. Marks is the formerly sweet and innocent girl who gets hooked on pot, then pills, which leads to heroin addiction. It's all downhill from there as her life

falls apart in her mad efforts to remain high. She gets into a horrible car crash due to her drug abuse and lands in the hospital. Almost immediately upon her release she's back on the street, this time selling as well as using drugs. As a pusher she is in danger of being arrested, and when things

get too hot, she tries to make a run for it. But she is caught and forced to go straight. The cheapness of this feature is best revealed in the absence of dialog. Instead, a narrator is used to relate much of the action. Accordingly, plot and characters remain undeveloped, and the film relies on

trite sociological concepts rather than insightful characterizations.
