Mediocre filmaker Zugsmith offers yet another embarrassment in this exploitive psychological melodrama. The film stars Lynn as a distraught fiancee who goes to famed psychiatrist Gladden after her betrothed, Warren, murders his mother, mows down innocent bystanders, and eventually commits

suicide. After lengthy, investigative flashbacks, Dr. Gladden determines that it was all caused by Long's repressed upbringing, combined with the total domination of his psyche by his mother. This led to Long's sexual impotence (revealed in a moving scene in which Lynn unsuccessfully tries to

seduce Long in a rose garden). The doctor concludes that Long required the terrible catharsis of violence to purge his tortured soul.
