An entertaining French musical about three young people, Duvalleix, Lemaire, and Genes, who leave their jobs at a French radio station to operate their own clandestine station, called Radio X. They broadcast breezy entertainment and satirize contemporary advertising, especially The Lotus

Girdle Company, which is managed by Pasquali, whose daughter, Arnoul, loves Lemaire. The three are soon joined by a strange assortment of characters, and the station becomes popular. However, they are forced to keep on the move to avoid police who are looking for them. On their travels they

encounter Raft, the Peter Sisters, Carol, and Champagne. When they reach Paris they are arrested, but the radio authorities agree to their release and offer them a special program on legal radio. This was one of the films in the sad later career of Raft, who, after his popularity sank in the

mid-1940s, made some films in Europe in an effort to revive his fortunes. The fact that he was unsuccessful is no surprise after his cameo in NOUS IRONS A PARIS; the trench-coated "tough guy" is stopped by the youngsters on the highway and kidded but does not seem to realize it. (In French.)
