Richards and Savage are a pair of poor little rich kids who dread spending Easter vacation with their grandfather, Niven. McGavin and the ever-bumbling Knotts are a pair of crooks the kids con into staging a kidnaping. Richards and Savage want to use the would-be kidnapers/benefactors so

that they can join their mother in Hong Kong. The comedy is dumb and slow-moving, with an insipid and predictable script. The film's saving grace is its marvelous comic cast, which somehow manages to pull off this otherwise routine Disney film. Knotts has a particularly good scene chasing Savage's

pet skunk along the girders of a building under construction. Niven is his usual charming self.
