This violent, racist revenge movie stars Brolin as a tough ex-cop who tears apart New York City in pursuit of the psychopath, Gorman, who has kidnaped his daughter. After innumerable car wrecks, beatings, stabbings, expletives, and farfetched plot twists, the film comes to a fitful end with
a shootout in the New York sewer system, which would have been a good place for the editor to drop the final cut.
