Under pressure from dad to get into Harvard, high-schooler Todd Boomer (Jason London) goes apoplectic when his sinking math grades threaten his father's ambition for him: Harvard. Nor is he given encouragement by his bullying math professor, Mr. Mueller (Christopher McDonald). One evening, while cruising with his pal Zack (Paul Faber), Todd gives a lift to a motorist named Vicki (Tia Carrere) who happens to be stranded, and also happens to be gorgeous. Quickly learning of her geometric expertise, Todd pesters her to become his tutor. Although his grades improve, Todd doesn't realize that Vicki is married to Mr. Mueller. Inevitably, the two unhappy souls fall into an affair. Foolishly, Todd brags to Zack about his good fortune, without realizing his girlfriend Kirsten (Alexondra Lee) is present. Not only is Kirsten shocked and hurt, if Mueller discovers that he's been cuckholded by Todd, he may refuse to write the desperate youth a letter of recommendation. Oh, to have Carrere for a teaching aide! Agelessly lovely, she looks younger than the actresses cast as adolescents in this squeaky-clean sex comedy for the kind of teens who don't surf adult TV channels. Eschewing typical vulgarity, this teen wish fulfillment handles Todd's dilemma with a smile rather than a smirk. Yet it's all so tame. Who's it aimed for? Marginally horny members of the chess club? The only viewer likely to be offended are extreme conservatives; otherwise, this is a dirty movie the entire family can watch together.
