Some remember Bruce Bennett as Cody in THE TREASURE OF SIERRA MADRE (1948), others recall him as one of the fraternity of screen Tarzans, and fewer know him as Herman Brix, silver medalist in the shot put at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. Bennett makes a big stretch and appears here as an Olympic decathlete battling for gold. Joan Fontaine is the wealthy miss who wants to marry him, Monte Blue is his father and trainer, and Reed Howes is his main competitor.
