Recently released from a prison term he was forced to serve after being set up by his partners, Page and Harolde, safecracker Cagney is determined to pay them back. Pretending that there are no hard feelings, he again teams up with the dishonorable thieves on another job. The robbery is a success, and when Cagney gets his hands on the money, he squeals to the police on Page and Harolde. Page escapes but Harolde is captured and executed.
