Average melodrama starring Lockwood as a young British girl who is suddenly struck blind soon after falling in love with young Frenchman Dupuis, who has been visiting London. Convinced that her lust struck her blind, Lockwood enters a convent, but after six months the sisters persuade her

to return to the secular life. Dupuis tracks her down and marries her soon after, taking her back to France with him. Unfortunately, Lockwood feels unwanted by Dupuis' parents, and she becomes convinced that someone is trying to kill her. After a violent argument, Lockwood takes a nasty fall and

loses the child she was carrying. Distraught over her husband's attitude toward the danger she feels, Lockwood returns to England and undergoes a dangerous operation to regain her sight. The surgery is a success and Lockwood returns to Dupuis to prove that her fears were real. Faking blindness to

flush out her assailant, Lockwood finally succeeds. Their sexy, jealous young neighbor girl reveals herself as the evildoer. The villainess is killed in an amazingly timed car crash, allowing Lockwood and Dupuis to fall in love again.
