When her husband is killed, Byron blames herself for his death. In order to get over her grief she becomes a nurse. Though she passes through the training period, Byron snaps after a patient dies, and begins to rebel against authority. Only after helping doctors during a caesarian birth

is her humanity restored as Byron realizes that new life balances out death. Though a bit simplistic, this is well enough acted to work as good drama. The documentary shooting style adds to the film's quality as well.
