Interview With The Vampire: Review

It's not as bad as its creator Anne Rice at first feared upon hearing that Tom Cruise had been cast as the vampire Lestat; nor is it as good as her retraction later announced it to be. Cruise isn't terrible, and neither is his bloodsucking co-star Brad Pitt. (Antonio Banderas, however, is.) What makes the film worth seeing are Dante Ferretti's production design, Philippe Rousselot's dark cinematography and a pint-sized Kirsten Dunst as a merciless killer with dimples and golden curls.
