Some nasty business, based loosely on a true Mafia case in the late 1950s. In an upstate New York airport, a pack of Mafiosos await the arrival of exiled mob boss Richards. Though deported 10 years previously, he is secretly returning in order to solve the internal struggle within the

upper echelons of the Mafia. Mitchell is an aide to another gang boss, who was nearly killed in an assassination attempt. Mitchell wants to kill Richards, paving the way for his boss to gain leadership. But the airport manager gets in the way and Mitchell is forced to take the man, his two

daughters, and several others hostage in a nearby house. This is a dark and violent film, with strong acting by the cast. The direction is fast-paced. The brutality may be a little rough by 1950s standards. It's interesting that this film could be called INSIDE THE MAFIA, when one considers that

the Italian Anti-Defamation League's protests 12 years later banned the use of the word "Mafia" from the classic mobster film THE GODFATHER.
