Based on the novel by Sheila Ballentine, IMAGINARY CRIMES is a study in missed opportunities. In the lead, Harvey Keitel--just off a roll that included BAD LIEUTENANT, THE PIANO, RESERVOIR DOGS, and PULP FICTION--seems ideally cast as the dissembling blowhard.
