The Guys: Review
Originally a one-act play that debuted at a tiny lower Manhattan's theater, this moving, two-character drama was conceived as an immediate response to the deaths of nearly 3000 people — 343 of them New York City firefighters — at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Journalism professor Anne Nelson's based her script on her own real-life experience helping a grief-stricken fire captain write a series of eulogies for his fallen men, and the play makes a smooth transition to the screen. Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia star.
