A ghost ship occupied by 100-year-old corpses terrorizes a coastal community that is covered in a heavy fog. Although it opens promisingly enough--with a precredits sequence in which John Houseman, playing a grizzled old sailor, tells the ghost story to a group of children gathered around a campfire--THE FOG must be considered a disappointment.
