Mallory (Sutherland) is a gun for hire who is $10,000 in debt and must knock off an official in England. Although this sort of job is usually easy for a professional hitman, Mallory has been driven to despair by the disappearance (hence the title) of his wife. As Mallory becomes more
distraught, the plot becomes more complex, thereby causing the audience to become as upset as Mallory. Worth seeing, if only for the great cast and John Alcott's always-impressive photography.
