Dull, sappy melodrama that takes place in a boarding house. Davis plays a street musician, and Redgrave is a recently fired schoolmaster who is in love with a young cellist. Unfortunately, the cellist is involved with rebellious pop-song writer Kanner who becomes the bane of Redgrave's
existence.
