Disney regular MacMurray (SHAGGY DOG, ABSENT MINDED PROFESSOR), who is too busy with his depression-era business, pays no attention to his rejected family. Visited by an angel, he is told that his time is up. He becomes frantic pleading with the winged messenger, who finally checks up on
MacMurray's case. MacMurray shapes up and devotes all his time to his family. Silliness abounds, and the film begins to lose focus when a family member gets messed up with the mob, leading to Dad's arrest.
