In possibly the best of the 3-D westerns, Madison (TV's Wild Bill Hickok) is out to rescue a pair of women from Indian hands, and simultaneously divert the Indians' attention from railroad construction. The twist comes when Madison finds that one of the women has fallen in love with her
Indian captor, adopting native ways. Everything wraps up with a battle at the title river. Accented by Max Steiner's moving score.
