Buchholz is a talentless artist in love with model Spaak. He brings her to the family estate to meet his mother, Davis, and to impress her with his wealth. She refuses to marry him but offers to be his mistress until someone she likes better comes along. He tries to change her mind by covering her nude body with money, when suddenly Davis walks in.
