THE BUCCANEER is a lackluster remake of the 1938 Cecil B. De Mille film of the same name, this time starring Yul Brynner (with a full head of hair) as the pirate Jean Lafitte, who comes to the aid of General Andrew Jackson (Charlton Heston) when the British attack New Orleans during the War of 1812.
