Johnny Sheffield, fresh from playing Boy in the "Tarzan" series, was immediately dropped into another serial as Bomba the Jungle Boy. In this, the first of the series, photographer George Harland (Onslow Stevens) journeys to the Dark Continent with his daughter (Peggy Ann Garner).
